The Italian Series: Positano to Amalfi.
Welcome to the last edit in my little Italian Series, I hope you've been liking these! I think this particular one is the most anticipated section of this series because duh! Positano? - only everyone and their dog has heard of it. Not forgetting Amalfi who is no stranger either on the likes of Instagram. This boat trip was definitely a highlight of our holiday, you've come all this way to see the Amalfi Coast so why not explore all its gems?
Something we did find hard was actually getting to Positano itself - unless you're staying over. It has a tiny marina so the time you get to spend on the island can sometimes be restricted as all the boats have a time limit. The most popular way to explore Positano is getting on a package boat deal like we did, this may be something to bare in mind!
THE third EDITION:

from the boat
We went on a boat trip starting from Sorrento, swinging by Capri before getting off at Positano then spending the rest of the afternoon in Amalfi. The boat journey was absolutely beautiful! But on the way home, I did start to feel a bit sick...
Ahhh these views! Welcome to Positano and with only two hours to spare, we started climbing upwards. We walked on the cobbles, dipping in and out of little shops and just taking in all the views. There's also so many pretty looking restaurants and who doesn't love Italian food? I wish I could have eaten at all of them. It's such a lively and colourful place to be especially with the beautiful Santo Maria Church with its famous tiled dome always in view.
Positano has a lot of stairs, a lot, a lot whilst that can be a pain - it is the most beautiful place I've ever seen, no wonder this place is always talked about! Make sure to take a walk on the beach and gaze at those famous orange umbrellas and don't forget the gelato.
If you're looking for somewhere to go to get a Strawberry Daquiri, I'd highly recommend booking a table at the La Sponda Restaurant at the Le Sirenuse Hotel or if you have more time to spare, have a meal! This restaurant boasts the best views of Positano, definitely check this place out to make your trip that more memorable.
Last but not least, Amalfi! We hopped off the boat and headed straight for a lemon slushie and some food, we spent most of our time cooling off in a cafe and just walking around the edges of the marina. Amalfi is great for walking around aimlessly, there's a picture to take on every corner. Don't miss the famous Amalfi Drive and the Amalfi Catherdral.
